"One of the best parts of journey to building our home was finding ISMART Building Group . The company’s principles ( and passion! ), in particular the Heat Recovery Ventilation System and the use of Timber frame were what we’d been searching for . As we journeyed through the process the experience was to reveal further principles – a group with integrity and honesty ,committed and hard-working team members .
This beautiful two-story home is a prime example of how innovative design can maximize the outcome of even the most difficult of small blocks. This rear loading block is not only tight in size, challenging in orientation but also difficult in shape. Gary Dryer from Meraki Design designed this beautiful home in collaboration with Justice and Clare, the owners and it is clear to see the result is truly amazing. The use of space, the location of rooms, the inclusion of a southern void, and the placement of the carport are all clear signs of the experience Gary offers as a designer.
The external of the home has been orientated predominantly North and West for the living areas with the kitchen and Laundry tucked into the South East corner of the lower floor. The external claddings are a mix of color bond steel in both Shale Grey and Surf mist with a couple of feature cladding walls to the North and Eastern elevations finished in James Hardie Axon. The upper roof has been designed to slope to the North intentionally to receive the 5 kWh solar system.
Let us accompany you on your journey of a new home where health, comfort and sustainability are standard inclusions.
