This wonderful Certified Passiv Haus is situated on one of the many leafy streets of Tuart Hill. This particular block of land was passed through the family and now celebrates a beautiful new home. The memories and sentiment attached to this block created a fantastic design brief for the team as we all embarked on the design journey. Designed by Kerry Jacobs of JUO Design this home showcases beauty and energy efficiency in spades.
The home itself has been designed to incorporate the attributes of Passive Solar design including Thermal mass, cross-flow ventilation, and solar heat gain. The block orientation challenged this quite a bit with north-facing street frontage and the incorporation of shading, strategically placed operable windows, a large electric operable louvre system to the North Facing upper floor large window and exposed concrete polished floors all ensured the maximum possible gains from Passive Solar design could be incorporated to accompany the high-performance solutions delivered by the Passiv Haus.
