This wonderful Certified Passiv Haus is situated on one of the many leafy streets of Tuart Hill. This particular block of land was passed through the family and now celebrates a beautiful new home to a previous generation the grandparents of the new owners. The memories and sentiment attached to this block created a fantastic design brief for the team as we all embarked on the design journey.
This two-story home replaces an old post-war era home in the established suburb of Nedlands. Careful consideration has been taken to maximize the block’s full potential while remaining in context with its surroundings. The ground floor plan consists of a formal entry that leads past a light-filled great room- a showpiece of the home that features dual-glazed access to the front and rear courtyards.
This unassuming little gem is quietly nestled amongst its peers in the sustainable estate in White Gum Valley. But unassuming as it may be it is a leader in its community with perfect design orientation, shading, cross-flow ventilation, and solar power this home boasts net zero energy use, excellent rainwater harvesting and energy efficiency rarely experienced in Perth.
Being a certified Passive House Designer himself the client designed this home. From concept box study discussions on-site to detailed overshadowing diagrams considering parkland tree canopies influence on windows and PV installations, Luke Kellett (Kellett Design Group) was the single biggest influencer for the appearance and performance of this beautiful home.
The beautiful split-level home complete with two undercrofts and two car garage with storage room truly is gorgeous and is further complimented by the fact that it is a Certified Passiv Haus. We went to view this site before the client’s purchase which was the first indication of Paul and Francizka’s understanding of Passiv Haus and the need for collaboration at the very early stages of the project.
This wonderful Certified Passiv Haus is situated on one of the many leafy streets of East Victoria Park. This particular block of land was passed through the family and now boasts a beautiful new home to Stephen, Monique, Patrick and little Genevieve. Passed to them from none other than their great grandmother Joy. The memories and sentiment attached to this particular block created a fantastic design brief for the team as we all embarked on the design journey almost two years ago.
This beautiful home showcases the capabilities of building a passive home is now an achievable alternative to homeowners looking for a sustainable and energy efficient home. The home was concept designed in full by the client and drawn by Luke Kellett from Kellet Design Group, certified by Gruen consulting on behalf of the Passivhaus Institute and is the first of its kind in Western Australia with only two in all of Australia.
This beautiful two-story home is a prime example of how innovative design can maximize the outcome of even the most difficult of small blocks. This rear loading block is not only tight in size, challenging in orientation but also difficult in shape. Gary Dryer from Meraki Design designed this beautiful home in collaboration with Justice and Clare, the owners and it is clear to see the result is truly amazing.
Here is a shining example of macroblock magic in extremely challenging circumstances. Nestled quietly amongst the many nameless rear single-access laneways of the beautiful Fremantle heritage area this one-of-a-kind custom design and build home is simply breathtaking. This home has more features than one would have thought possible on such a tiny inaccessible block.
This home is also constructed from premanufactured timber framed construction ensuring extremely low carbon footprint and low embodied energy. Premanufactured external and internal wall frames, floor trusses, and roof trusses all ensure not only less embodied energy and lower carbon footprint but speed of construction rarely seen in Perth.
Let us accompany you on your journey of a new home where health, comfort and sustainability are standard inclusions.
